Our take
The rubber encased hex design is solid—no rolling, and it feels sturdy. The cast iron core gives a good weight distribution. I got the 40 lb for heavy rows, and it holds up well. However, the rubber coating has a bit of a chemical smell initially. The grip is okay but nothing special; a bit more knurling would be nice. For $26.59 for a single, it's a fair price but you'll need a pair for most exercises. If you're building a set one weight at a time, these fit the bill.
