Our take
I picked up the York set of two 12-pounders mainly because the anti-roll shape caught my eye. The vinyl coating feels nice and doesn't slip during curls, plus the cast iron core gives it a solid heft. But I wish the handles were a bit longer for two-handed moves. The magenta color is fun, but the 18-inch width means they take up more floor space than standard hex dumbbells. For $94, the bulkiness is a tradeoff I can live with for the stability.
